About this episode

Jose Alvarado discusses his journey in the NBA, the significance of New York City basketball, and the origins of his signature move, 'Grand Theft Alvarado'.

From being overlooked and going undrafted to carving out a role in the league, Jose Alvarado breaks down how he built his game around defense, energy, and doing whatever it takes to stay on the floor. The 7PM crew and Jose get into New York City basketball, what defines a real NYC point guard, and how that mentality shaped the way he approaches the game. Jose also explains how the “Grand Theft Alvarado” move really started, why it works, and why it was hard to catch Chris Paul lacking. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
