From their mountain fortress of Alamut, they developed a hierarchical doctrine of esoteric initiation that culminated in the declaration of the Qiyâmat: the abolition of religious law and the dawn of pure spiritual reality. Their clandestine relationship with the Knights Templar forged a hidden current of Baphometic wisdom that would flow through the veins of Western esotericism for centuries.
