About this episode
The episode discusses Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and the spiritual implications of recognizing Him as the Light amidst darkness.
As Jesus enters Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, he enters a hostile city. The Jewish leaders are determined to kill Jesus and Lazarus, if they get the chance. Jesus refers to himself as the Light and he wants to lead us out of, or save us from, the darkness. As he approaches the city, Luke’s gospel says that Jesus weeps for the city, namely the Jewish people, because many of them missed their chance to see Jesus for who he is – to see what Jesus came to do. If we see the light, how do we respond? Will we show up with palm branches?
