About this episode
This episode discusses the boldness and obedience of Peter and John in proclaiming their faith despite opposition.
We Cannot But Speak | Anchored in Troubled Waters | Season 9 Episode 19 Podcast Description After Peter and John healed the lame man in the name of Jesus, they were confronted and commanded not to speak or teach in that name anymore. But their answer was clear: “We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” In this message, we look at boldness, obedience, and the kind of faith that refuses to go silent when Christ has truly changed a life. After the healing at the gate called Beautiful, Peter and John were arrested, questioned, and commanded to stop speaking in the name of Jesus. But they had seen and heard too much to stay silent. This message closes our post-Easter series by looking at holy boldness, faithful witness, and the courage to obey God rather than men. The early church was not built on quiet faith, but bold witness. In Acts 4, Peter and John stand before religious leaders who command them to stop speaking in the name of Jesus. Their response still challenges believers today: “We cannot but speak.” This message calls the church to recover its voice and faithfully testify to the risen Christ.
