In Latter-day Saint scriptures, Doctrine & Covenants section 82, verse 7 states "And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; but unto that soul who sinneth shall the former sins return, saith the Lord your God." This is not only a tremendous burden for Latter-day Saints, but it is wholly antithetical to the biblical promise that God will not remember our sins. “FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE" (Hebrews 8:12).
