Pastor Nate is preaching The Ascension: From Grief to Resurrection Hope. We’re continuing our Ascension series in Luke 24, where two disciples walk in grief and disappointment after the cross. On the road, Jesus meets them, brings clarity through Scripture, and restores their hope through His presence. 🕊️ Key Highlights: Jesus meets us in grief, not after it. On the road to Emmaus, Jesus draws near in the middle of disappointment, not after it’s resolved. Disappointment often comes from misplaced expectations. “We had hoped” reveals how unmet expectations can distort our view of Jesus and lead us away from where God is working. God’s presence comes before understanding. Jesus walks with them before revealing Himself, showing that we experience His presence before we gain clarity.
