Rob Parker joins CrashLit on Behind The Caution Tape to talk about his career as a sports reporter. The two talk about what made Rob fall in love with sports and why he decided to start writing and what it meant for him to break the color barrier and be the first Black sports columnist at several of the newspapers he worked at. CrashLit also asks Rob about working alongside personalities like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless, and what it meant for him to be inducted into the National Association of Black Journalists Hall of Fame and what his experience was of founding MLBbro.com and co-hosting The Odd Couple. They also discuss how Rob is always looking to give back to his students and why he loves bringing his real-world experience to the classroom at USC.
