21. Mahabharat : The Oath That Came Back for Bhishma !
About this episode
This episode explores the consequences of Bhishma's oath and its impact on the lives of Amba and Shikhandi in the Mahabharata.
Bhishma’s legendary oath is one of the defining moments of the Mahabharata . But every oath has consequences — and some consequences can take a lifetime to arrive. In this episode of Bharat Unscripted , we follow a lesser-known but extraordinary story from the Mahabharata : the story of Amba, Bhishma, and the events that eventually lead to Shikhandi . What happens when a decision made by one person changes the life of another? What happens when that injustice becomes a vow of its own? And can a promise survive beyond a single lifetime? From Hastinapur to Kurukshetra , this is a story of vows, choices, injustice, sacrifice, rebirth and the unexpected ways in which the consequences of our decisions return to us. A story from the Mahabharata that is not simply about war or warriors — but about the choices we make, the choices made for us, and the consequences we carry.
