Vince Palamara has a new book release Vince wrote a 22 page letter to Clint Hill, in 2005 which Hill did not like. Hill then got in contact with Gerald Blaine, and this led to the book The Kennedy Detail The Kennedy Detail was co -written by LIsa McCubbin, Hill's future wife, and Hill wrote the foreword That book tries to blame President Kennedy for his own death, Because he did not want agents on the rear bumper. Vince strongly disagrees with this and lists almost 20 witnesses who say Kennedy never said this. Vince also shows that the motorcycle escort for Kennedy was cut back from 4 to 2 on each side, Also, the cyclists were instructed to stay to the rear of the presidential limousine. The motorcade route was not decided upon until the night before, and it was different from the one planned. The Dallas Police did not know the route until they were on it that day. Afterwards the assistant police chief complained about the lack of preparation and precautions Kennedy's regular driver, Tom Shipman, died the month before at Camp David.
