About this episode

Alan McDonald shares his journey of fulfilling a childhood dream of living on his family's farm in Fannin County.

When Alan McDonald was a young boy, he told his grandmother that he was going to move to Fannin County, live on the family farm and raise his family. When he made this bold declaration, he was 8 years old, living in Arlington and visiting his granparents over the summer. Looking back, Alan said it was kind of a "corny dream," but he made that dream a reality, and now he's living it – carrying on a beautiful legacy. Today, McDonald lives on the family farm just outside Bailey, Texas. He is the Community Bank President at First United Bank and Board President for BEDCO. He said he has no doubt that his grandmother is smiling down from Heaven. #bonhamnow • Links: First United Bank: Website BEDCO: Website City of Bonham: Website Bonham Tourism: Website Music: https://www.purple-planet.com
