They've done well with Southern Democrats, though, which may explain Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mimicking Hillary Clinton's fake Southern accent. That fakery didn't work before, but AOC is a different kind of candidate and, more importantly, we aren't the same Americans we were 50 or more years ago.
