This episode explores men's mental health through a survey of 35 men, discussing their struggles and societal pressures.
In this episode, I explore men’s mental health through the voices of 35 men who anonymously participated in a mental health survey. As a woman, I realized I had a lot of assumptions about what men experience, but very little understanding of the pressures, fears, expectations, and emotional struggles many carry every day. After hearing men in my own life share experiences with anxiety, depression, loneliness, and thoughts of not wanting to be here, I wanted to learn more. The survey covered topics such as: • Mental health struggles • Emotional vulnerability • Relationships and support systems • Societal expectations of men • Barriers to seeking help • What men wish others understood In this episode, I share the survey results, discuss common themes that emerged, and reflect on what we can do to better support the men in our lives. Thank you to every man who took the time to participate and share honestly. My hope is that this conversation creates greater understanding, empathy, and connection. If this episode resonates with you, please share it with someone who may benefit from the conversation. @brickbreakerspodcast
