In the Sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7), Jesus announces the arrival of God's Kingdom and what it means to live in the reality of God’s present kingdom. In this message, James connects the Sermon on the mount to John 6, where Simon Peter says to Jesus "You have the words of eternal life!"
