States of emergency have been declared for the Town and Village of Hancock after the storms blew through. New York State Electric & Gas crews have been on the scene of various power outages after the severe thunderstorms swept through the region on Saturday. Strong winds over 65 mph were reported in some locations, which toppled trees that took down electric wires. Wild weather over several days including an EF-0 tornado touching down. (This one happened last Thursday afternoon).
