About this episode

Matt Tindale discusses the importance of loving God and our neighbours, emphasizing relational connections and the essence of God's love.

Last week was about sending; this week is how to be sent. Jesus gave the most important commandments: Love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself. We have to adore God so much that we would do anything for him. And the second part, loving our neighbour, is a particular focus this morning. We are commanded to love our neighbour because God loves us, and loves our neighbour. We need three things: a teapot, representing relational contacts with those around us; a big porch, representing a place where people can shelter and experience God's love and the fruits of the Spirit in others; and the cross, the only source of the costly love that we need to share.
