We had been looking back at our guest list from years past and were wondering, what happened to them? Well now we are in the middle of 2026, and we decided to find our answer to what happened to Advents. And there is no better time to figure out what happened to them because, we found out a lot that includes a new vocalist, new music, and a brand new album coming our way. Joe and Tyler from the NYC Metalcore band Advents join the Chord Progression Podcast following the announcement of their new album "A Bitter Truth You Can't Undo" releasing on July 17th, 2026. With a new album coming, and a new lead singer as well, we get back into it with Advents as we talk about: - The addition of Tyler as the new lead vocalist of Advents, and the importance band chemisty has for success when it comes to bringing in a new member into a band & writing new music. - Writing "A Bitter Truth You Can't Undo" in two and a half weeks, and the battle between going with your gut or taking a lot of time to critique when writing new music. - Why rock & metal will survive…
