So Moses goes in to speak with Pharaoh about the promise of God, but it is quickly met with disappointment because not only would Pharaoh not let the people of God go, but he made it much harder for them to work. The people of God were furious with Moses. Moses was frustrated with God. But God continued onward in His promise despite what was seen.
