About this episode

Jontae James shares his journey from athletics to founding OtakuCash, a financial company aimed at helping creators.

Jontae James has a lengthy background in athletics, with the dream of going to the NBA. He played in college, on a full ride scholarship, and played in the NBA summer league. Once he had determined that his career was coming to an end, he started to look into what is next, based on his first principles of helping people and servant leadership. Outside of tech, he is married with a 3 year old daughter. He loves anime, and enjoys fashion and a good wine tasting. As we mentioned, Jontae is passionate about helping people, and specifically helping creators. He noticed that creators income if fragmented and unpredictable. He set out to create a financial company that helps creators grow within their lifecycle. This is the creation story of OtakuCash .
