Dr. Stephanie J. Wong and Zhengyu "Z" Huang discuss his new book, " Rethinking China: Challenging Our Economic Assumptions and Opportunities for Lasting Prosperity ." Zheng explained that the book was inspired by a desire to address misconceptions about China's economy and explore opportunities for mutual prosperity. He assumed the role of president of the Committee of 100, a non-profit organization founded over 30 years ago by I.M. Pei to promote Chinese-American inclusion in America and enhance U.S.-China relations, working with White House administrations during the COVID-19 pandemic to advocate for safeguarding national security while protecting civil liberties, particularly in response to rising anti-Asian hate and violence.
