About this episode

Ray Bell discusses the concept of sanctification and living blamelessly in light of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul prays that God would bless them with what he sees that only our God of peace can do for them and us, i.e. to sanctify us completely, blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ray, before going on leave, spoke from 1 Thes 3:11-13 – Blameless in Holiness, a parallel or bookend framing what we've heard whilst he's been away. Much of Paul's letter between these "bookends" has had to do with how we are to live up until the Day of the Lord, and what that day would be like. And, much of this is condensed within these two bookends. We will revisit what sanctification is, what God does in us by sanctifying us, and the encouragement we can take in the assurance of our sanctification. This has great implications for how the saints (the holies/us!) live and how we are to be children of light until He comes.
