About this episode

This episode discusses the concept of Jesus as our substitute and the implications of His sacrifice for humanity's redemption.

The Gospel can be summed up in one staggering truth: Jesus took our place In 2 Corinthians 5, we’re given one of the clearest pictures of what Christ accomplished on the cross: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” This message walks through the full story of redemption. Every person has sinned. We were created in God’s image, yet we’ve all fallen short (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). Sin brings judgment and separation from God (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). Jesus willingly stepped in as our substitute. He chose the cross. He bore our sin. He satisfied God’s justice. From the sacrifices of the Old Testament to the Lamb of God in the New Testament, Scripture points to one reality: Jesus died in our place. How do we respond to this? We no longer live for ourselves—but for Him. We are made new. We are reconciled. We are sent as ambassadors to bring others to Christ. Do you have a question for Pastor Rocky?
