Jesus not only shows us that we ought to pray in our trials, He shows us because that is exactly what He did in His hour of greatest need. He goes to His Father; He is honest in His request; He does the Father's will, and He did it all as our substitute. He drank the cup of wrath so that we might drink the cup of God's blessing.
