Briell Decker, the former wife of Warren Jeffs, shares her experiences and insights on the FLDS and the differences between Warren Jeffs and Sam Bateman.

Briell Decker is the former 65th plural wife of Warren Jeffs. She married Jeffs at 18 while he was already a fugitive and “prophet,” and quickly realized how he exerted control through fear, punishment, and doctrine, particularly around arranged and underage marriages. Briell witnessed disturbing religious practices, resisting participation, and ultimately escaped after years of ab*se and threats of being “blood atoned”. Having experienced being a polygamous wife to the prophet of the FLDS, we asked her thoughts on Sam Bateman, the self proclaimed NEW prophet of the FLDS.
