Draft Night Decisions: Inside Jason Licht’s Strategy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
About this episode
TKras analyzes Jason Licht's draft strategy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2026 NFL Draft.
**The Drive with TKras** rolls into one of the most unpredictable nights on the football calendar: Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers holding a pivotal pick, all eyes are on GM Jason Licht and his draft philosophy—especially when it comes to age. Will the Bucs lean toward a polished, older prospect who can contribute immediately, or swing on a younger player with a higher ceiling? Licht’s track record shows he’s not afraid to buck trends, prioritizing football IQ, toughness, and scheme fit over birthdate. But in a roster that’s balancing contention with retooling, does that approach still hold? TKras breaks down the most likely scenarios, the prospects being linked to Tampa Bay, and whether “age vs. upside” is a real debate inside One Buc Place—or just draft-night noise. Expect insight, strong opinions, and a clear-eyed look at what the Bucs *should* do when they’re on the clock.
