About this episode

The episode discusses the Montreal Canadiens' surprising advancement to Round 2 of the playoffs and the implications of John Chayka's arrival in Toronto.

The Montreal Canadiens are moving on — and doing it in one of the most unbelievable Game 7 performances you’ll ever see. In this episode of Daily Faceoff Live, we break down how the Montreal Canadiens punched their ticket to Round 2 despite generating just 10 shots on goal. Is Jakub Dobes the real deal, and can his run continue? We also dive into what’s next for the Tampa Bay Lightning after a disappointing exit. Is a coaching change in Tampa Bay even realistic — or just wishful thinking for teams like the Leafs and Oilers? Over in the West, the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild put on an absolute show, combining for 15 goals in a chaotic Game 1. Is this series destined to be the most unpredictable of Round 2? Plus, we bring in Jeff Marek to discuss the biggest storyline in Toronto: the arrival of John Chayka. What do the Toronto Maple Leafs see in him, and what’s at the top of his offseason to-do list? Does it start behind the bench with Craig Berube, or is there a bigger move coming? 👍🏼 Powered by bet365 | Hockey fans - Check out bet-three-six-five’s 3-Goal Early Payout.
