About this episode
The episode explores themes of family, grace, and God's love through personal stories and reflections.
This Sunday at Derby City Church, we explored the themes of family, grace, belonging, and God's redeeming love. Phil Morton shared from the book of Ruth, reflecting on how God works through imperfect and often messy family stories to accomplish His purposes. Through Ruth's journey, we see a powerful picture of God's faithfulness, mercy, and grace across generations. We also heard from Helen Morton, who shared part of her family's fostering journey and the joys, challenges, and sacrifices involved in caring for children during some of the most formative seasons of their lives. The Morton's story offered a moving reflection on God's heart for children and His love for us. As part of the service, we welcomed 50 Families, who shared about the need for foster carers and how individuals and churches can support vulnerable children and families in our city.
