After losing her aunt to cancer this past summer, Katie Schultz ’25 found a new sense of purpose in running. In this episode of Discover Boston College with host Dylan Carollo ’25, she shares how that loss inspired her to take on the 130th Boston Marathon in support of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Katie reflects on the love of running she developed at BC, the tight-knit community she’s built with fellow senior Marathoners, and the powerful connections she’s formed with others impacted by cancer. She also opens up about the emotional weight of race day and the support from her family and the BC community that will carry her to the finish line.
