Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”’ Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” context a/ what was the feast? b/ Jesus stands up c/ what text is He drawing on? d/ what is being offered? e/ John’s footnote application 1/ find community 2/ listen to your thirst 3/ become a person where life flows 4/ overflow is for you… and through you where do things get blocked? 5/ return to the presence, not just the pattern why this happens the invitation is not to try harder God fills empty vessels, not polished ones.
