26/04/2026 - Matthew Robinson Psalm 1:1-3: 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Scripture Break-Down In Chapter 1 Verse 1: We have a movement presented to us, walking to standing to sitting. The people associated with these movements are the wicked, sinful and arrogant. In Chapter 1 Verse 2: The word for law is drawn from imagery of a river and flowing water, implying how it should guide us. There is also the word for meditate “Hagah” which means: imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, sore, speak, study. Then in Chapter 1 Verse 3: We see the word “hathal” which means to be transplanted, taken and planted in another environment to promote growth. This verse then mirror the first verse in movements: Dwelling to standing firm to actively doing.
