In this episode, I’m joined by South Carolina Lieutenant Governor and gubernatorial candidate Pamela Evette for a deep dive into the issues that define the Palmetto State. We start where many of us spend our time—in the woods. Pamela shares her passion for the outdoors and we discuss the path forward for South Carolina's Deer Herd . We talk about the management strategies needed to improve the quality of our herd and ensure that the next generation of hunters has a world-class experience right here at home. Beyond the hunt, we get into the "Business of the Woods." Pamela shares her plan to reinvigorate Forestry and Agriculture through proper business investment. We discuss how to protect our timber companies, farmers, and private landowners by ensuring they have the tools to manage their lands profitably and sustainably while balancing new economic opportunities coming into the state. Crucially, we also address the battle in our classrooms.
