Michele Wellman discusses her farm's challenges and community support following a devastating storm, alongside insights on recent dressage rule changes.
Welcome to the Dressage Today Podcast! For our July episode, we are welcoming Michele Wellman of By Chance Farm in Fredrick County, Maryland. Michele started By Chance Farm back in 2002, and has been working to expand boarding, riding and showing opportunities for riders all around the area ever since. Last month, a freak storm hit their farm, causing major devastation to their structures, while miraculously sparing all lives. Listen in while Michele tells us about By Chance Farm and her vision for it, the incident and the incredible response that she has had from horsepeople all across our country. It is a tale of love and loss, as well as a tale of a community rallying around one of their own. We know you will love to hear how things are going, so take a listen! Stephany and Aviva chat about the newest rule changes in the Dressage world: taking the double bridle out of Third Level and the change to the voice rule. Get their take on these changes, and also hear Aviva’s thoughts on proper (and improper) handling of the whip in the show ring in our Ask the L segment! As always, we are grateful for our sponsors! This month, we are sponsored by KPP Summer Games Electrolyte and by…
