When divine opportunities arise, our response reveals whether we're living self-centered or God-centered lives. Jonah's disobedience to God's call to Nineveh demonstrates the consequences of choosing personal preferences over God's purposes, while Abraham's immediate obedience when called to leave his homeland shows what God-centered living looks like. Obedience reveals whether we truly trust that God is at work and leading us in the right direction. The real risk isn't in obeying God without having all the details, but in missing out on what God wants to accomplish through us.
