Hour 2: Malik Nabers Puts His Career Ahead of Week 1
About this episode
The episode discusses Malik Nabers' decision regarding his participation in the upcoming game and its implications for the Giants, alongside reflections on other sports topics.
Malik Nabers is making the final call on whether he plays against the Cowboys, and his comments about protecting his career leave Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber wondering if the Giants will open the season without their biggest weapon. Tiki and Evan lean toward Nabers sitting, while Shaun Morash predicts he plays and delivers five catches for 56 yards. The debate turns to how teammates would handle his decision and why the mental hurdle may matter as much as the physical one. Anthony Volpe’s huge return sparks a victory lap over how the Yankees finally handled his development, while Aaron Glenn’s decision to stick with Jason Sanders at kicker raises immediate Jets concerns. Plus, John Harbaugh gets a warning about dealing with the New York media, and the show reflects on September 11, the Giants’ connection to first responders and the lasting meaning of Mike Piazza’s iconic home run.
