by Adam Riske Some great tracks to turn up loud on your summer road trip. Song: “Give U My Heart” From: Boomerang Artist: Toni Braxton & Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds There are other standout songs from the Boomerang soundtrack (like the ones by P.M. Dawn and Boyz II Men) but this one rules and doesn’t get brought up nearly enough. Kind of like most Babyface songs. That guy’s a genius. I’m mixed on Toni Braxton, but that’s beside the point. I like that her hair in the music video is the same as Halle Berry in Boomerang . That’s good symmetry. It’s a little funny to be reminded of 1992 when we were like “I dunno…Robin Givens…maybe over Halle Berry??” and now it’s like a complete no-brainer in the other direction. No disrespect to Robin Givens, but she wasn’t Jinx. Ok, some disrespect. The Die Another Day opening credits should’ve been Bond and Jinx singing “Give U My Heart” is what I’m saying.
