Hank Williams wrote a song claiming, "I saw the light." This legendary songwriter wrote, "I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin; I wouldn't let my dear Savior in, then Jesus came like stranger in the night. Praise the Lord, I saw the light!" The Apostle Paul also tells us in the pages of Scripture that he too saw the Light. As a matter of fact, each time he shared his personal testimony, he always included seeing a light that was even brighter than the sun. Even though scientists tell us that a quasar can be 500 trillion times brighter than the sun, my personal conviction is that Paul saw the risen Christ, the Maker of quasars and suns. He went from being a foe of Christ to becoming a follower of Him. If He can overcome darkness of death, then nothing is too hard for Him! Let's see what happened when Saul had a personal encounter with the risen Lord on the road to Damascus as recorded in Acts 9:1-22. His life will change right before our eyes!
