Welcome back to Feasts of Film! This time we continue our Mario cinematic journey with the very old and very first, and for a long time the only attempt to make a live action adaptation of a Nintendo franchise, Super Mario Bros from 1993. Mario and Luigi two brothers running a failing plumbing business in New York, are led into a journey to another world where Dinosaurs evolved into humans and led by King Koopa. Who seeks to capture Princess Daisy, who was sent to New York to hide from Koopa, and get a piece of the meteorite from the meteor that "killed the dinosaurs". So he can reunite the two worlds and rule them both. Mario and Luigi set out to rescue Daisy and to keep Koopa from gaining a way to their home too. Join Jake Cole, and Chandler as they dive into this somewhat nostalgic and very odd Mario adaptation and see whether this film is worth a watch after 30 years or if it is a de-evolved compared to it's predecessor.
