Pacers Add Larry Nance Jr., Waive Micah Potter; Johnny Carpenter Leaves Staff
About this episode
Scott Agness discusses the recent moves made by the Indiana Pacers, including the addition of Larry Nance Jr. and the departure of assistant coach Johnny Carpenter.
The Pacers made a few notable moves Wednesday, starting with assistant coach Johnny Carpenter departing after one season to reunite with Taylor Jenkins in Milwaukee. With Carpenter gone, newly-named Boom head coach Bryce Taylor is stepping in to lead the Summer Pacers in Las Vegas. Then Indiana agreed to a one-year veteran minimum deal with Larry Nance Jr. , adding frontcourt experience while waiving center Micah Potter . On this episode, I discuss those moves, their financial limitations, being a tax team, and how Nance fits as they continue shaping the team around the margins. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram , and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com .
