Pacers Sign Smith, 2026-27 Schedule Takeaways + Haliburton's Big Night at Victory Field
About this episode
Scott Agness discusses the Indiana Pacers' recent signings, schedule highlights, and Tyrese Haliburton's performance at a celebrity softball event.
On this episode of the Fieldhouse Files podcast, I break down Braden Smith signing a two-way contract and Ethan Thompson heading overseas, plus the biggest takeaways from the Pacers’ schedule — including 15 back-to-backs, 11 national TV games, a Christmas road trip, the Mexico City matchup with Denver and several Sunday home games that overlap with the Colts. Plus, Haliburton’s first competitive basketball game in 16 months will come Oct. 7 at Iowa State. And I recap Monday’s celebrity softball challenge at Victory Field, where Haliburton’s team rolled to a 28-8 win, Pat McAfee handed out the MVP trophy, and the Irsay family put $100,000 on the line for Haliburton to get a hit. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram , and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com .
