About this episode

A lively conversation about politics, propaganda, and maintaining positivity in a chaotic world.

Tonight I was joined by Survival Steve, Pink and Paul for a wide-ranging, lively and often very funny conversation about politics, propaganda and keeping your spirits up in a mad world. We started with the latest political theatre and quickly got into whether the news is really there to inform us or simply to distract, demoralise and manipulate. Steve brought his usual sharp take on psychological warfare and “cognitive war”, while Pink argued for staying grounded in your own happy bubble: be kind to yourself, be kind to others, keep your hobbies, and don’t let the wider circus consume you. We also reflected on lockdown memories, self-sufficiency, home education, spiritual healing, diet, authority, policing, tax, and the bigger question of how ordinary people can become mentally stronger and more resilient. Along the way we touched on books, broadcasters, Telegram channels, farming life, Spain versus the UK, and why humour still matters when everything around us feels absurd. In short: plenty of local colour, plenty of laughs, and a serious underlying message — think for yourself, stay positive, and never surrender your common sense.
