As the sun begins to set, you look around and realize that you’ve stayed out too late. It will be completely dark before you’re able to make it out of the woods. You’ve had this feeling for the last hour or so like you’re being watched, but every time you look up, there isn’t anyone, or anything, nearby. So you gather your things and move quickly to get back to your camp, those eyes, wherever they are, still lingering on you.You only make it a few meters before you hear rustling in the leaves behind you. You freeze. Turning around you see nothing. You breathe a sigh of relief, telling yourself that you’re just tense from the fleeting sunlight and it was probably a lizard or small animal of some kind. You continue walking, but there’s that sound again, a little closer this time. More quickly this time you turn around and scan the area. Still nothing. A nervous laugh escapes your throat involuntarily and you check every tree one last time before picking up the pace to a near jog along the trail out of the forest.But the noise is growing louder and faster, as if it's catching up to you, whatever it is. You turn again, this time catching a glimpse of a shadow ducking behind the tree…
