About this episode

The hosts discuss the Giants' playoff chances, analyze the Toronto series, and share cocktail recipes.

Blue Jays and crows are both members of the Corvidae family. Our ornithologists marvel at the stark contrast between Monday's game and Tuesday & Thursday's games as they break down the Toronto series. Then they discuss the Giants playoff chances and what they need to do to fill their holes for the second half push. (No, really. It was Ben's idea!) They also discuss retiring umpires, the impending draft, and changing the name of the podcast to Giant Fireballs. (... because of the Firebells ... details inside.) On the cocktail side of things, today Ben is drinking a Country Roads while Matthew is drinking a Toronto. Recipes below. Country Roads 2 oz Canadian Whiskey (okay to sub bourbon or rye) 1/4 oz Fernet Branca 1/4 oz Brown Sugar syrup (simple syrup fine too) 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake until chilled and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Toronto 2 oz Canadian Whiskey (okay to sub bourbon or rye) 1/4 oz Fernet Branca 1/4 oz Brown Sugar syrup (simple syrup fine too) 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters Mix all ingredients in a rocks glass and add ice. Stir to chill. Garnish with an orange twist. #doitforusasoccer #doitforwilson
