Mass Giorgini is well known in the pop-punk world, which gained its popularity in the 1990s. As a bassist, singer and saxophonist, he has performed and/or recorded with Screeching Weasel, Common Rider, Squirtgun, Rattail Grenadier, The Mopes, Teeth and the Man, Torture the Artist and Sweet Black And Blue. As a producer, he has worked with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Kris Roe of the Ataris, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, The Queers and Alkaline Trio, to name a few. As a composer, Giorgini has written songs for films such as Mallrats and Bubble Boy. Giorgini is also a linguistics scholar specializing in forensic literary analysis. He is the son of the renowned Italian artist Aldo Giorgini. On this podcast episode of The Dollar Bin (with hosts Dr. Disc and Rev of The Drowns), Giorgini shares his influences via the vinyl format, and talks about his latest studio endeavor (on bass) with Squirtgun.
