About this episode

Frederic Paulussen discusses his journey from a marketing agency to becoming a corporate and street photographer, sharing insights on the photography industry and his unique career path.

In this episode, Perrin sits down with Frederic Paulussen, a corporate and street photographer who built a photography business after getting fired from a marketing agency, on a suggestion from his dad. Fred talks about how photography went from a high school hobby to a full-time career he never quite planned for, why he romanticized travel photography before realizing he would never actually wake up for the sunrise, and how he ended up building two completely separate creative lives under one roof. He gets into what corporate headshot photography demands that most photographers underestimate, why he started his own street photography podcast just to get answers to questions nobody else was asking, and what eight years of staying genuinely curious has taught him about the long game in photography.
