About this episode

Dr. Lee Warren discusses his journey of overcoming trauma and the concept of Self-Brain Surgery.

Dr. Lee Warren’s life experience includes multiple traumatic events, from serving in the Iraq War (conducting over 200 brain surgeries over 125 days) and returning home with PTSD, to an unwanted divorce and the horrific death of his teenage son, Mitch. By 2013, his faith and future felt fragile as hopelessness shadowed his daily routine. Then Dr. Warren shifted his mindset from patient to surgeon and began to engage the power of his mind to rewire his brain. Self-Brain Surgery reignited his hope, rebuilt his faith, and restored happiness he never expected to feel again. “Self-Brain Surgery isn’t a metaphor,” Dr. Warren explains. “It’s not a self-help plan or mere positive thinking. It is the mechanism of personal change and physiological change.” Self-Brain Surgery happens at the intersection of neuroscience and faith, where JT, Anthony, and Dr. Warren dive deep in today's conversation about how you can change your thoughts to change your life.
