Scout Space has secured $18 million in funding to enhance its capabilities in orbital awareness technology.

Scout Space closed an $18 million Series A funding round led by Washington Harbour Partners, with contributions from Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation, Noblis Ventures, Decisive Point, Fusion Fund, and others. The funding will expand Scout Space's manufacturing capabilities, including a new 2,600-square-foot facility in Northern Virginia. The company develops sensors and software for detecting, tracking, and characterizing objects in orbit. Scout Space partners with Blue Origin to integrate its Owl sensor on the Blue Ring spacecraft and has secured defense contracts from the U.S. Space Force.
