On the 28th of May, 2026, Faculty of Theology honorary doctor, Professor Scott Spurlock, presented his guest lecture at LUX in Lund. The talk was entitled "Churching the Nation: Early Modern Scottish Ecclesiology and the Challenge to Modern Liberal Democracy". Scott Spurlock is professor of Scottish and Early Modern Christianities at the University of Glasgow with a particular focus on Scottish and Irish religious cultures.
