Oisin Murphy revisited | Addiction, Champion Jockey glory, hitting rock bottom
About this episode
Oisin Murphy discusses his life as a champion jockey, including his struggles with addiction and the efforts he's made to maintain his career.
Five-time Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy joined Joe in studio last year for an interview that was as broad as it was honest. We revisit that chat today, wherein Oisin opens up about living the incredibly hectic life of a jockey while dealing with addiction, a challenge that has brought relapses, car accidents, reconciliation and redemption. Oisin also talks about the hard work he has put in to staying at the top of his game, and whether he believes his career will be a long one. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
