About this episode

The episode discusses the scandal involving Matt Lauer, a shark attack incident, conspiracy theories surrounding the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, and a wrongful arrest case.

It's the scandal that derailed Today Show anchor Matt Lauer's career. An NBC staffer accused him of continuous sexual abuse that began at the 2014 Winter Olympics, which he denied. Now, she's written a book saying what she went through was so traumatic, she was left with PTSD. And a fun day on the water for two surfers turned into a terrifying race for their lives. The two say they were chased by a great white shark! They spoke with Jim Moret about the scare. Plus, despite the fact the attack on the White House Correspondent’s Dinner was caught on video, there are conspiracy theories running rampant that it was “staged”, and as Les Trent reports, that's upsetting people who attended the event and are still traumatized. And it should have been the happiest time of her life, her wedding weekend - but her celebration weekend was ruined when she was pulled over and arrested for DUI. However, she wasn't drunk or on drugs at all. The charges were later dropped and she is suing the police claiming she was wrongfully arrested. the police deny any wrongdoing.
