Ervin Laszlo taught the world to hear the coherence underneath the noise. The least we can do now is keep listening. In 2016 systems theorist Ervin Laszlo opened the Inspirational Insights podcast with an interview on his book What is Reality? We adapted several articles for the HuffPo Great Workplace community platform. (links below) He died at June 29, 2026 at 94 years old leaving a legacy and many lessons for those of us who have been working to expand thinking and a more relevant purpose for business into reality. He was my mentor, my light and hope for a better future for humankind and for planetary health. And in 2017, he validated my existence on this crazy planet by inviting me to write a chapter in the Intelligence of the Cosmos on the new purpose of business. I was terrified with being given such responsibility and have learned that you say yes, and step into the challenge rather than run terrified into a corner. Coherence and supercoherence are states we can collectively attain, but not through maintaining separation and polarization. It is a leap of self-evolution that can match the speed of collapse.
