During this experience, she saw reality as a "simulation," underwent a visceral life review, and felt the weight of the harm she had inflicted on others. Emerging with a sense of divine grace, she experienced a spontaneous physical healing that allowed her to walk away from heroin for good. Now a spiritual guide and retreat leader, Betty emphasizes that true recovery comes from the slow discipline of self-love and the "inner warrior" required to face uncomfortable truths.
